Personal Home Care Services

Daily Routines - Waking Up - Bathing - Dressing - Lunch - Security - PrivacyDignity - Wellbeing - Bedtime
We can provide more intimate care if required for all age groups and we know just how much a little help with the demands of a daily routine can greatly enhance one's quality of life. For example, do you need help getting out of bed in the morning or assistance with bathing and dressing?

There's nothing like a nice bath to help you feel clean and refreshed. Our Care Support Workers can help you relax and enjoy your bath, staying close by to help you get in and out safely and to make sure you are dried properly and comfortable afterwards while preserving your privacy and dignity at all times. We can cook you a light lunch, make you a cup of tea and prompt you to take your medication and ensure your personal security and wellbeing.

We can also visit you at home to help settle you in for the evening and even tuck you up in bed for the night, making sure your property is nice and secure so you can have a restful and worry-free good night's sleep.

Day or Night Home Care Services

24 Hour Care - Night Time - Daytime - Peace of Mind - SafetySecurity - Wellbeing - Companionship
We can provide a Care Support Worker to simply sit with you during the day or night and give you the reassurance and peace of mind that you are safe, secure and being well looked after. We can even arrange to stay with you 24 hours a day for short periods of time when the situation or circumstances become necessary.

Emergency Homecare Services

Are you in immediate need of a Care Support Worker and assistance in your home? We can provide someone to meet your care needs at short notice and assist at times when you are in need of urgent help. Carers Response Emergency Support Service (CRESS) is an emergency service designed to give home carers respite and peace of mind.

Many carers worry about what would happen to the person they care for if they themselves were involved in an emergency or were suddenly taken ill. CRESS is a membership scheme which works with home carers and the people with care needs to set up an emergency plan which outlines what would happen if the carer was suddenly unable to care for the person in need.

Training Services for Informal Carers

Looking After Yourself - Coping With Stress - Manual HandlingCarer Communication Skills - Basic First Aid
Crossroads Care has developed a training program funded by Coventry City Council to offer to the informal, unpaid carer the opportunity to learn some practical skills to assist them in their caring role. The service is a new pilot and has never been offered in the area previously.

Carers Telecare Homecare Services

Telecare Homecare Services is a Coventry-based support service enabling those people who live alone, and who do not have relatives or friends living locally, to access the scheme. Historically, to qualify for Telecare support a person needed to have two key holders who could respond to emergency calls, which meant that those people who had no one close by were unable to access the service.

Now however, Crossroads Care is able to be the key holder for these people and ensure they can have the advantage and benefit of the Telecare support scheme. The service is accessed through Social Services.

Respite Care Services for Home Carers

Support for Carers - Respite Services - Recharge Your BatteriesMe Time - Short Breaks - Relax and Enjoy
As much as you love the person you are caring for, as a Home Carer, you yourself will need looking after sooner or later and Crossroads Care can provide you with the much-needed short break and respite from caring. Our well trained and highly qualified Care Support Workers will take over the reins and give you the chance to recharge your batteries and have a bit of "me time" for a change.

Home Based Respite Care Services

This is when a Care Support Worker comes to your home and takes the place of the carer for an agreed amount of time to give the home carer a break. Whilst the carer is away the support worker can provide any of the services detailed earlier whilst giving the home carer the security and peace of mind in knowing that everything is safe and sound at home.

Overnight Respite Care Services

This is when a Care Support Worker comes to you home and stays overnight usually from the hours of 10pm to 7am (but this can be negotiated) and provides whatever personal homecare support is needed. This then allows the carer to have an undisturbed good night's sleep.

Community-Based Social Activities

Crossroads Care offers a personalised service to enable people to get out-and-about and into the community to access the social activities of their choice. This service has been designed to support people who may otherwise be isolated at home due to being elderly, frail or incapacitated with a disability.

We also run activity centres in partnership with Coventry Church Charities that can provide you with an ever developing range of leisure and social activities such as music & dance, arts & crafts and even personal computer lessons.
