Care Support Worker

The role is to provide support and assistance to home carers and people with care needs. Prior experience in care work is desirable and training in all aspects of home care services is provided.

The role involves a wide variety of duties including:

• Personal care
• Taking people to appointments
• Sitting and befriending
• Enabling people to access the community
• Providing a safe environment
• Administration of medication
• Providing emotional support

Being a Care Support Worker is an immensely rewarding position with a great deal of responsibility. A Care Support Worker is able to make a big difference to people's lives by relieving home carers from their regular caregiving duties enabling them to have some time to look after themselves.
