Crossroads Care Coventry & Warwickshire has been providing help and support for parents with a wide range of in-home care services for children with special needs and disabilities, and respite care services for the home carer since 1974. Our ethos is to help and support those children in need of homecare services in any way we possibly can with an approach that is both professional and sympathetic whilst at all times maintaining the dignity and self-respect of our younger customers.
Our fully trained and highly qualified Care Support Workers have many years experience of looking after other peoples loved ones, so please be assured you're child will be in safe hands at Crossroads Care Coventry & Warwickshire.
Crossroads Care manages homecare programs for children and young people on behalf of local authorities throughout Coventry and Warwickshire and these home care services are intended to help children of all ages with profound mental health conditions, physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
Some families will need assistance with nearly every aspect of
one or more child's daily living. We understand from our experience
that above all we must work in partnership with all concerned in
the child's wellbeing to provide a safe environment in which
individually tailored homecare, education and occupational
therapies can help each child to develop a range of skills and
realise their potential._159x154.jpg)
We offer a variety of home care services for children and respite support and help for their parents, to support the child's specific needs and enable them to live their lives in the way they would want. Crossroads' vision is to ensure those children with special needs, and their families, experience positive outcomes from the homecare services we provide.
The Help for Parents - STARS Club is a young members club for children and youngsters with disabilities to get together on a Saturday afternoon and is supported by well qualified and experienced staff. The children enjoy playing games, socialising and meeting new friends, and during the time the young people spend at the Club, based at the AT7 Centre in Coventry, their parents also have some well earned respite and "me time".
The STARS Club currently supports around 30 children with a range of disabilities and plans are in hand to develop a similar club for older teenagers.
Support for Carers - Respite
Services - Recharge Your Batteries
Me Time - Short Breaks - Relax and Enjoy
As much as you love the child you are caring for, as a parent and home carer, you yourself will need looking after sooner or later and Crossroads Care can provide you with the much-needed short break and respite from caring. Our well trained and highly qualified Care Support Workers will take over the reins and give you the chance to recharge your batteries and have a bit of "me time" for a change.
This is when a Care Support Worker comes to your home and takes the place of the carer for an agreed amount of time to give the home carer a break. Whilst the parent carer is away the support worker can provide any of the services detailed earlier whilst giving the home carer the security and peace of mind in knowing that everything is safe and sound at home.
This is when a Care Support Worker comes to you home and stays overnight usually from the hours of 10pm to 7am (but this can be negotiated) and provides whatever personal homecare support is needed. This then allows the parent carer to have an undisturbed good night's sleep.
